The Nazi Party was gaining momentum, bolstered by the SA, their private army, positioning Hitler as a formidable force against a disgraced and weakened government.

  1. Hiler hated the Weimar Republic. Hiler was confident that Gustav Von Kahr, the leader of the Bavarian government , and the Bavarian army would support him Germany had been humiliated by the French occuping the Ruhr. Hatred of the Treaty of Versailles . Want to overturn the terms of the Treaty. Hiler hated the Weimar Republic. People saw the Weimar Republic as being responsible for hyperinflation Hitler had won the sopport of General Ludenfirff who was a ver y popular person amomgst the Germans. Hiler had to act quickly before the Weimar Republic gained strength. The Nazi Party had been growing steadily. The SA, the Nazi’s private army, could be used as armed support. The Weimar reublic looked weak and disgraced so people all across Germany would support Hitler.
