GBK Geometry

Today's geometry class plan includes greetings, a review of assignment #23 from Chapter 3, covering Lesson 7 (pp. 119-121). Students are required to complete exercises #1-8, 23-42, and 44, with additional bonus exercises from Set III. We will discuss the clean-up SAT problem on midpoints. Homework includes Journal #8 due Friday, 10/26, with Assignment #24 also from Chapter 3 due Monday, 10/29. Students should study for the Chapter 3 test on Tuesday, 10/30, and prepare a handwritten 3"x5" note card.

SAT Problem – Midpoints (Note: Diagram is not to scale.) • On line segment AE above, if the lengths of AC, BD, and CE are equal, which of the following must be true? • C is the midpoint of AE. • B is the midpoint of AC. • BC and DE are equal in length. • Copy the diagram, answer, and explain why.

  4. Homework • Journal #8 due onFriday, 10/26. • Due at beginning of class; no time during class. • Asg#24: From Chapter 3 Review (pp. 124-128): • Exercises #17-20, 26-31, 34-40, 43-49. • Due Monday, 10/29. • Study for the Ch. 3 test; make a 3”x5” note card. • Handwritten; use one or both sides. • Bring it Tuesday. • Chapter 3 test is Tuesday, 10/30.
