  2. I want to be a psychologist because…. What is MY passion?My passion is to help people. • I like to be there for people • I give people good advice • My friends always say they feel like they can tell me anything and I’ll listen

  3. I am an ENTP… My personality and my career • ENTPs deal imaginatively with • social relationships and often have a great number and variety of friends and acquaintances. • They display optimism and tend to be talkative

  4. Psychologists? my job description • Psychologists diagnose and treat people affected by personal problems and psychological illnesses or disorders. • They make appointments with clients, and conduct group therapy sessions

  5. You should … Skills needed to be successful • •Be good with people • •Be emotionally mature and stable • •Be patient and detail-oriented • •Have critical thinking skills • •Be creative

  6. 3 activities they spent the most time on… • Making phone calls to clients, • Conducting a group therapy session a few days a week • Therapy sessions

Working conditions • Pros/likes: • The opportunity to work with people • Help people become more effective in their own lives. • Cons/dislikes: • Lots of organization • Lots of paper work • •Some are self-employed • •The work is often stressful • •May travel to conduct research or attend conferences • •Most work regular office hours, but may be on call during the evenings and weekends
