  1. International Wood Day 2014 October 7, 2014 | 12.30 – 19.00 Hulstkamp Gebouw Rotterdam TOWARDS A NEW WOOD ERA This year the International Wood Day looks ten years and further ahead. Now the crises are beginning to die out, it is finished with looking back with anxious heart to dark times. In good spirits we commence the journey to the red morning sky. Just as last year the day is characterized by a dichotomy in plenary and round table sessions. As every two years, the announcement and presentation of the wood awards cheer up the event: Wood Award 2014 (Houtprijs 2014 - www.houtprijs2014.nl), consisting of Wood Architecture and Wood Innovation Award and the design competition for students Wood Challenge 2014 (www.woodchallenge.nl). All nominated projects of the three awards are exhibited in the hall. The plenary sessions follow three themes: Wood and Living; Wood and Sustainability; and Wood and Innovation.
