  1. Figuring out who you are… … will require you to make a number of choices. These choices include personal choices about values and beliefs, choices about your future goals, occupational choices and sexual choices. … will require you to be able to problem solve and to think creatively and critically.

  2. ?????????????????????????? • As you move through puberty you will ask lots of questions and you will have to figure out the answers. Some people do this better than others. • Many teenagers rebel against their family and their communities and so they do not ask for help with these issues. • Many teenagers think that adults will not understand them because they do not understand what they are going through and so do not ask for help. • Many teenagers feel judged and criticized when they ask for help and so they do not do so again.

  3. How should you solve a problem?

  4. 1. Figure out what the problem is: i) Get as much information about the problem as you can. ii) Define the problem. iii) Figure out why the problem is happening, what are the causes of the problem? 2. Think of possible solutions. 3. Consider each solution carefully. 4. Brainstorm the effects and consequences of each solution. i) Think about whether the solution causes the least potential harm – to you and to others. ii) Think about whether the solution is in line with who you are now and who you want to be in the future. 5. Choose the best solution.
