  27. Absences/Vacations • Please give as much notice as possible for us to gather materials for your child while they are gone. • What we can get ready ahead of time will be sent. • Other assignments will be given when the student returns to school. • Hands onactivities will not be made up.

  30. Behavior Management • We will be using a school-wide behavior management system throughout the year to maintain consistency and produce an environment that promotes learning for all students. • These set rules ensure that maximum learning can take place. A student’s education will not be jeopardized because of someone’s misbehavior.

  31. Our Expectations • You will treat your classmates kindly and with respect. • You to act like a mature fourth grade student at all times. • That you follow school rules in the classroom, in the hallway, at lunch and at recess. • You are silent when I am talking and teaching. • You to use quiet, appropriate voices when working with a group. • That there is no talking when I ask you to work silently.

  32. Behavior Management • In the classroom, we will be using a Behavior chart to monitor students’ behavior throughout the day. Students will be given one warning prior to receiving any consequences.

  33. Global Integration Team • We will have Global Integration Team on Mondays and Wednesdays each week from 1:15- 2:15. • We will also have Library one day a week. (Bristle Tues, Roessler Thurs) • The goal of the GIT is to create an inquiry based environment to provide learning experiences through the arts, Physical Education, and technology.

  34. Global Integration Team • This program will look different in each building based on the needs of the students. As we get to know your students, we will provide you with more information regarding the Global Integration Team.
