What is access? • Access is a database software program. • Databases are basically large lists of information of a certain sort for example • Telephone directories • These are just a paper based database of phone numbers • With access you can create digital databases which ease the task of finding what you need from them
The Basics • Access’ main boasts are its ability to create tables and forms which make creating databases quick and easy • In the following video we will see briefly how this is done before going into more detail later on.
The Banners • The Home Banner, From here we can change fonts, text formatting and size and all the basic options such as copy paste and the spell checker. • The Create Banner, • From here we can access all the options we need to create new tables, forms, reports and other things such as macros.
