  2. Bats Bats are amazing animals. Bats are mammals. Did you know that bats are the only mammals that can fly? A mammal is warm- blooded, has hair or fur, gives live birth, and gets milk from there mother. Did you know that people are mammals?

  3. Bats There are many different species of bats. There are 951 different types of species. The most common bat is the brown bat in the United States. The scariest bat is the vampire bat because it sucks blood from sheep. It sucks blood from other animals too.

  4. Sizes of bats Bats are many different sizes. The flying fox’s wing span is about 6 ft long. The smallest bat is the bumble bee bat it is the size of your finger nail. isn’t that small?

  5. what bats eat Bats eat a variety of food . Bats use echolocation to get there prey. The high pitch noises bounce off the prey and the bat flys and eats the insect.

  6. Where batslive • Bats live in many places like tree stumps, garages, attics, and many other places that you might not know. Sometimes they go into your house and fly around and use echolocation. You can’t hear them so you don’t know that they are there. They hide or hibernate in farms and other moist places.

  7. Bat Babies Did you know that baby bats are called pups? Their mother only has one baby at a time. They hang upside down while there mother gets there food. If there mother doesn’t know where her baby is they use echolocation to find to hear where the baby is. Did you know that people can’t hear the noise?

  8. Bats Are Nocturnal Did you know that bats are nocturnal? That means that they sleep at day and are active at night.

  9. Cool Facts • Did you know that guano is fertilizer? Guano is bat poop! • Bats can fly more than 30 miles per hour. • Bats are very misunderstood. • Vampire bats are two in a half inches long. That is really small. Vampire bats also lap up blood like kittens drink there milk with there tongue.
