  2. verbs can be:- The main thing about studying well is to first study smart.. Preparing for a test shouldn't involve staying u all night before an exam. Studying well requires preparation ahead of time. The trick to studying we learning a few tricks as well as your own preferenc Studying depends on your commitment and what ty of environment you strive in.

  3. verbs can be:- Auxiliary  (do/does/have...)  Or  Modals  (should/could/must..)

  4. IT'S STUDY TIME We use auxiliary verbs or modal verbs for:- 1-Avoid repeating the main verb or the main phrase   1-Avoid repeating the main verb or the main phrase  

  5. IT'S STUDY TIME We use auxiliary verbs or modal verbs for:- 1-Avoid repeating the main verb or the main phrase   Ex:- I like cats, but my husband doesn't like cats.  Ex:- I like cats, but my husband doesn't 

  6. IT'S STUDY TIME We use auxiliary verbs or modal verbs for:- 2- With (So/Neither) to say that someone or something is tha same. use (so/neither/nor+auxiliary+subject) Ex:- A: I loved his latest film. B: So do I. Ex:- A: I haven't finished the book yet. B: Neither did I.

  7. Remeber: If the sentence was affirmative, use (so) If the sentence is negative, use neither, but don't use neither followed IT'S STUDY TIME by another negative. Now! Can you answer the questions? 1- I didn't finish my homework. 2- I have never played tennis. 3- I loved the new action film.

  11. IT'S STUDY TIME 4- To make a reply question to show surprise or interest. Ex: A: I went to a dentist last Monday. B: Did you? Was it painful? Now! Can you answer this question? A: I'll make dinner tonight.

  13. IT'S STUDY TIME 5- To show emphasis, normally when you want to contradict what someone said. Ex: A: You didn't lock the door! B: I did lock it. I'm sure Now! Can you answer this question? A: I'll make dinner tonight. A: Sarah isn't coming today. B: Will you? That's great!

We use a negative auxiliary with a positive verb and a positive IT'S STUDY TIME auxiliary with a negative verb We use question tags:- 1-  to ask another person to agree with you in a falling intonation. Ex: It's a nice day, isn't it? 2- to check something you think is true in a rising intonation. A: Sarah isn't coming today. B: Will you? That's great!
