  2. The Premier League The premier league is the top English league. Only English teams are allowed in the premier league but there are two welsh teams in the league they are Swansea and Cardiff. Every year three teams are relegated to the championship and three teams are promoted. The top four teams are automatically through for the champions league except fourth - they have to win their qualifying match.
  3. Transfer Window The transfer window is a period of time which players can move from club to club. There are two transfer windows in a season. The transfer window is open at the start of a season and the month of January. Fernando Torres and Andy Carroll were the two of the most expensive deadline day transfers and possibly the worst signings.
  4. Player Profile Name: Cristiano Ronaldo. Nationality: Portuguese. Age: Twenty eight. Clubs: Sporting CP, Manchester United and Real Madrid. Position: Forward/Winger. Height: Six feet one inch. Kit number: Seven. Date of Birth: February fifth 1985.

They are one of the few Spanish clubs that always aims to win the league like Barcelona and Athletico Madrid. FC Bayern Munich FC Bayern Munich was founded in 1900 113 years ago. Their stadium is called the Allianz Arena. It can hold 71,137 people. Bayern Munich are one of the best teams in the world.
  6. Ballon d’Or The Ballon d’Or only started in 2010 and Lionel Messi won the first three from 2010 to 2013. Cristiano Ronaldo won the trophy this year. The only people who can vote are the coaches and captains of international teams. The trophy is for the best player in the previous year.
  7. National Teams Brazil Brazil have one of the best national teams in the world. They have some of the best players in the world like Hulk, Neymar, David Luiz, Paulinho and Daniel Alves. Pelé is Brazil’s top goal scorer. Spain Spain also have one of the greatest national teams in the world. Spain has the likes of JesúsNavas, Negredo, David Silva, Santi Carzola, Iker Casillas and David Villa. David Villa is Spain’s all time goal scorer.

  9. World Cup The world cup first started in 1930 and has been held every four years since except in 1942 and 1946. World War 2 started in 1939 and ended in 1945 so it cancelled both of the tournaments. Brazil has won five world cups they are the most successful team in the tournament. Brazil are hosting the world cup this year. Spain are the current holders of the trophy. ROI (Republic of Ireland) have only been in three world cups those years are 1990 in Italy, 1994 in the USA and the 2002 world cup in Japan and Korea. This years world cup will be held in Brazil and the 2018 world cup in Russia.
  10. ROI (Republic of Ireland) Ireland’s top scorer is Robbie Keane. Robbie Keane also has the most caps for Ireland. The captain of Ireland is Robbie Keane. The current manager/head coach of Ireland is Martin O’Neill and Roy Keane is the assistant manager/assistant coach. Ireland’s nicknames are the boys in green and the fans are known as the green army. Ireland play in the Aviva Stadium.
  11. European Championship The Euros were founded in 1960. Spain are the current holders of the trophy. The most successful teams in the tournament are Spain and Germany which have won it three times each. Here are the top three goal scorers that where in the final 1.Michel Platini five appearances and nine goals for France 2.Alan Shearer nine appearances and seven goals for England 3.Rudd van Nistelrooy eight appearances and six goals for Holland, Patrick Kluivert nine appearances and six goals also for Holland and ZlatanIbrahimović ten appearances and six goals for Sweden.
  12. La Liga La Liga was founded in 1929. There is twenty teams in this league and those teams are Athletic Bilbao, Athlético Madrid, FC Barcelona, Real Betis, Celta de Vigo, UD Almería, RCD Espanyol, Getafe CF, Granada CF, Levante UD, Málaga CF, Elche CF, CA Osasuna, RayoVallecano, Real Madrid CF, Real Sociedad, SevillaFC, Valencia FC, Real Valladolid, and Villarreal. The most successful team in La Liga is Real Madrid with 32 titles. The current champions are Barcelona with 22 titles.
  13. The Championship The championship was founded in 1892. After every season the bottom three teams are relegated to league one. The top two teams are automatically promoted to the premier league but the four teams below first and second have a knockout competition for third spot and promotion. Cardiff City won the championship last year. Hull City finished second and Crystal Palace also got promoted.
  14. Facts about players Luis Suárez has never received a red card, but has been banned from playing twice for biting another player. Gareth Bale is the most expensive player in football he was sold for eighty six million pounds. Ledley King Is now a retired footballer but when he played he picked up an injury and never trained after that, but still was one of the best centre backs in the premier league. Wayne Rooney is now the best paid player in the premier league with 300,000 pounds a week. Lionel Messi is now the top goalscorer in the history of La Liga.
