Potential Strengths of Technology • Initiation of students’ learning interest • Enhancement of interaction • Teacher-students • Students- students • Accessing different learning materials • Optimization of students’ creativity
My current uses of technology • i-book provided by publisher • Audio clip (songs and chants) for PLPR/W • Introduce the online exercise in eClass (school-based intranet) • Teachers can mark the online exercise and give feedback interactively. • PowerPoint for introducing the learning focus • Interactive games for learning and teaching
Possible further uses in my teaching • Enhancement of listening and speaking skills by using pod casting. • Reinforcement of reading and writing by encouraging students to use email as a daily log • Set up a online campus TV so that students can share the music they like and it can be a platform for show-and-tell. • By using the website ‘Text-to-speech’, students can carry out self-learning in dictation and the speaking practice.
