Volume of a Pyramid: V = (1/3)Bh where B is the area of the base
Example Finding the Volume of a Cylinder To find the volume of a cylinder with a diameter of 20 yards and a height of 9 yards, we need to first find its radius. Because the diameter is 20 yards, the radius is half this length, or 10 yards. V = r2h = (10yd)2(9yd) = 900yd3 = 2827yd3
