  2. Welcome Webinar Google Rankings - Review Google considers over 200 factors when deciding where a website should rank for any given keyword. Some of those things we can help address on your website while others we cannot. Here are just a few examples of each: Addressable Not Addressable • Fresh Unique Keyword Rich Content • Meta Tags • Header Tags • Image Alt Text • Keyword Rich Anchor Text Links • In Bound Links From Other Websites • Quality Decrease of In Bound Links • Competitors Being Competitive • Amount of Competition • Your Social Media Involvement

  3. Welcome Webinar Fresh Unique Keyword Rich Content Fresh Content Google uses “QDF” “Query Deserves Freshness” as part of their ranking system. In moist cases If you searched for “Steelers Vs. Broncos score” then you’d want to see the most recent game, and not a game played years ago. Increasing your usability and relevance over time If you were doing research on a topic, you’d trust a source that kept itself current and provided new related content. Unique Content Google can recognize duplicate content Not helpful for users If you copied and pasted from Wikipedia, then Google would rather rank the Wikipedia page. Keyword Rich “Our community is an ideal place to live, and since it’s centrally located it can suit anyone’s needs.” “Riverside is a wonderful place to find a home, and with all of the available First Time Buyer programs it makes a good place for your real estate investment.”

Welcome Webinar Meta Title and Description Meta Title 1 to 2 keywords, Primary/Secondary Markets: 60-80 Characters Meta Description 255 Characters Describe the page, and call the visitor through the Search Engine Result Page onto the website What About Meta Keywords? This “tag” would hold your “suggested keywords” for the search engines to use This was horribly abused, and has recently been confirmed by Google, Yahoo and Bing that they are NOT used to impact your websites ranking.

Great rankings take time and that timeline varies from area to area based on the level of competition within each given market.
