You are Salt - Witness. Matthew 5:13 13"You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled by men.
What dilutes you? Fear - Lack of Trust. Sin - Disobedience. Lack of Love for Jesus
You are a Light - Witness. Matthew 5:14-16 14"You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. 15Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. 16In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.
You are a Light - Witness. • 1 Thessalonians 5:19 “Quench not the Holy Spirit”

Reaping • Jesus was: • Consumed with a passion for people coming to Christ. • Understood that some were ready to convert. • Took full advantage of natural networks.

Steps: 4. Baptizing • Jesus was baptized. • Jesus emphasized baptism. (rite of passage / covenant / commitment). • Jesus told His disciples to baptize others. (Mt 28:18-20). 5. Teaching • Jesus challenged people to follow Him. (sacrifice, commitment) (Mk 8:34) • Jesus taught His followers. • Jesus invested time being with them. • Jesus modeled what He wanted them to become. • Jesus expected from the beginning for them to reach out to others.

(Lk 6:13-16) • Jesus knew each of the twelve He chose. 7. Preparing • Jesus showed them how to be effective spiritual leaders. (Lk 6-8) • Jesus told them how to be effective spiritual leaders. (Lk 6-8)(Lk 10) • Jesus involved the twelve in spiritual leadership. (Lk 9:1-6) • Jesus reviewed their effectiveness (evaluation). (Lk 10). 8. Mobilizing • Jesus summoned emerging Leaders (Lk 10) • Jesus empowered emerging Leaders (Lk 10) • Jesus named instructions leaders were to follow. • Jesus described the vision of reaching the world to them. • Jesus organized the leaders to go out in pairs. • Jesus underscored the leaders strengths and weaknesses. • Jesus told them to rest after their intense ministry experience.

Steps: 9. Challenging • Jesus gave the apostles a vision of reaching the world. (Acts 1:8) • Jesus ordered the apostles to start immediately right where they were. 10. Sending • Jesus gave the apostles the message of the gospel. • Jesus empowered the apostles with the Holy Spirit (Acts 1,2). • Jesus told them to do what He’d done – make disciples (Mt 28:18-20)
