Pendahuluan • Banyak penyakit yg disebabkan oleh makanan yg tidak sehat, berupa infeksi ataupun akibat zat kimia yg sengaja atau tidak ditambahkan dalam makanan • PBM umumnya memberika gejala gangguan pada saluran pencernaan berupa sakit perut, diare, muntah. • Dapat mengenai seorang atau lebih anggota keluarga/kelompok • Gejala dapat ringan, berlangsung beberapa jam ataupun berat berlangsung beberapa hari, minggu, atau bulan • Pd kelompok risti merupakan penyakit berat

Beberapa PBM • PBM dibedakan menjadi 5 kelompok berdasarkan penyebabnya : • PBM karena virus (hepatitis, GE) • PBM karena bakteri • Infeksi krn makanan (typhus, kolera, disentri basiler) • Keracunan makanan (staph, c perfringens,b cereus) • PBM karena amuba/protozoa (disentri amuba) • PBM karena parasit (cacing gelang, kremi, pita) • PBM bukan karena kuman • Dari tanaman (jamur, umbi) • Dari makanan laut (kerang, remis, kepiting) • Dari zat kimia berbahaya (sengaja/tidak)
