  2. Ichiro Suzuki • Ichiro was born on October 22, 1973 in Toyoyama, Japan. • He plays center field for the Seattle Mariners. • Ichiro is known for his arm strength. • He is also known for his speed and in his career has 386 stolen bases.

  3. Daisuke Matsuzaka • Daisuke was born on September 13, 1980 in Japan. • He is a pitcher for the Boston Red Sox. • He has been struggling the past few seasons and fans want him out of Boston.

  4. Tiger Woods • Tiger Woods is a quarter Chinese. • Tiger used to be a star golfer and is now pretty much washed up. • He has been suffering with back problems this year which has kept him out of some tournaments. He could be out of the U.S. Open which is in a few weeks.

  5. Yao Ming • Yao Ming was born on September 12, 1980 in China. • Yao Ming plays Center for the Houston Rockets. • He gets injured all the time but he will still ends up being voted in by fans to the all-star game every year because of his popularity. • Something you may not know he is 7’7.

  6. Hideki Matsui • Hideki currently plays for the Oakland Athletics. • He mostly plays Designated Hitter but sometimes will play in the outfield. • Hideki won the World Series MVP in 2009 with the New York Yankees.

  7. Hines Ward • Hines Ward is part Korean. • He was born on March 8, 1976 in South Korea. • He is currently a wide receiver for the Pittsburgh Steelers. • He has won 2 super bowls and has been a 4 time pro bowl selection.

  8. KosukeFukudome • Kosuke was born in 1977 in Japan. • He currently is the Chicago Cubs right fielder. • When he came up with the Cubs he was a promising star and he hasn’t disappointed.

  9. Tsuyoshi Nishioka • Nishioka was born in Japan. • Over the summer he was signed by the Minnesota Twins and he now has a broken leg after a double play attempt and a runner slid into him at second base. • I hope he turns out to be super good
