  2. Wear Protective Clothing • Wear appropriate clothing during an experiment • Wear closed toe shoes • Always wear a lab coat while doing experiments to protect your skin and clothes. • Wear safety goggles while doing an experiment to protect your eyes.

  4. Don’t point test tubes in front of you • Don’t point test tube at your eyes • Never point the test tube toward anyone • Put it in a test tube rack when you don’t need it • If using it to hold liquid, fill it up to half way or less • Never tilt the test tube so much that it might spill

  5. Disposeof water liquids properly • Always dump water liquids in the sink • Never dump liquid in the trash can • Spilt liquid needs to be cleaned up immediately
