  1. Comm Arts-Day 2 (computers are needed) • Please discuss with your partner why is it so important to find facts for your argument, answering this question: Should we be stewards (caretakers) of nature? Why or why not?

  2. Lesson Goal and Essential Question • Lesson Goal: I can apply and/or identify the elements of persuasion in a variety of media. • Essential Question: What techniques are used to persuade?

  3. Summative • FCAS for paragraph-formal (no I, you, or contractions) • Three quoted and/or paraphrased, cited facts that effectively support the opinion.   4. Research • On edmodo.com you will find a link to articles to do your research and a chart to help you record your facts. Record facts that will help you defend your opinion. As you record your facts think about how they will work with the text structure you have chosen.
