Recommendation 1. K&C Board Focus … meeting the intent of the Balanced Scorecard
Initiative Overview • Initiative: Explain what Balanced Scorecard means to the BoD, the units of the BoD, the communities and their units. • Rationale: • Will drive priorities, defining resources, roles, relationships, accountabilities, metrics, opportunities and mechanisms for collaboration, outreach. • Clarifies where we are today and where we want to be in the future
Assumptions/Risks Assumptions: • Will be able to start with the end in mind • the units will be responsive to the BoD • BoD will agree and take leadership role • BoD will be able to react and take leadership role • Resources will be available • Work of other teams here will be integrated into this work Risks/Obstacles: • Assumptions are not valid • Lack of time • Diversity of perceived missions – lack of unity of focus
