Purpose of Summary-Response • Most common paper in college • Cross-curricular assignment • English, History, Social Science, Philosophy, Business, Science, Math, etc. • Proves you can READ, WRITE and ultimately THINK critically about another’s argument regardless of whether you go on to college or not • In other words, you consider carefully what others argue NOT just blindly accept what they say
