Implementation Research • Criteria VIReC Used to Identify “Implementation Research” Projects: • Either: • Has an Intervention • Intervention is an Evidence-based Practice • Includes an Evaluation of the Intervention • Or: • Preceded or followed an “implementation research” project (separated due to funding )
Implementation Research • QUERI Annual Reports Categorize Projects into one or more QUERI Step • “Implementation Research” projects should fall into Step 4,5, or 6
Implementation Research • VIReC Applied the “Implementation Research” Criteria to the QUERI Project Abstracts • Abstracts assigned Step 4,5,or 6: 176 • Miscellaneous exclusions: 8 • Total Projects Evaluated: 168 • Meet VIReC Criteria: 95 • Did Not Meet VIReC Criteria: 73 • Overall % Meeting VIReC Criteria: 57%
