  1. El Hombre RICO LAZARO Lucas 16:19-31

El Rico Lázaro El Contexto El Señor Jesús ha estado hablando a las multitudes entre los cuales se encontraban algunos Fariseos Estaban enojados porque Jesús recibió y comía con pecadores (Luc 15:2). En respuesta a esto, Jesús enseño 3 parábolas, todas hablando de encontrar algo perdido (Luc 15:3-32).

  3. El Rico Lázaro El Contexto En Cap 16, Parábola del mayordomo infiel. (1-8) El mensaje a los discípulos es que ellos deben de ser fieles a Dios en todas las cosas (9-13) Oían también todas estas cosas los fariseos, que eran avaros, y se burlaban de él (14)

  4. El Contexto Jesús responde a estos hombres que eran amadores del dinero (16:14) Ellos eran materialistas – hacían a un lado la Ley de Dios para satisfacer sus avaricias - (16:15-18)

  5. Esta historia fue una realidad . . . No es una parábola - No tiene las distintivas de una parábola- Contiene nombres propios

  6. Destruye muchas falsas enseñanzas: Universalismo Aniquilación Purgatorio Almas Durmiendo Segunda oportunidad

Los dos hombres en VIDA Cierto hombre Rico 16:19,25 Un Mendigo llamado Lázaro - 16:20,21,25 Ropas costosas - púrpura y de lino fino Comida en abundancia - “Todos los días (a llenar)” Recibiste tus bienes - 25 Lleno de llagas, y ansiaba saciarse de las migajas que caían de la mesa del rico; y aun los perros venían y le lamían las llagas

  8. Los dos hombres en VIDA Por otro lado Lázaro era un pobre - 16:20,21,25 Cierto hombre Rico 16:19,25 Desde la perspectiva de los Fariseos, este era un hombre justo. Seguramente el cielo le esperaba cuando muriese Este era un hombre “pecador” que seguramente estaba sufriendo por causa de su pecado. (era maldito)

  9. Los dos hombres en Muerte También muere Lázaro - 16:22-27 Muere el hombre Rico 16:22,23 Murió Consciente sabia donde estaba (tormento en llamas) !Ya nada podía hacer! Yfue llevado por los ángeles al seno de Abraham

La Petición del hombre Rico • Clama por misericordia –que Lázaro moje su dedo en agua y refresque su lengua - 16:24-26 • En vida fallo en darle valor a lo espiritual – desperdicio su vida en cosas materiales- 12:21; 16:13 • Escogió su propio destino y ahora esta pagando las consecuencias - Mat 7:13,14; Gal. 6:7-9

  11. La Petición de el • Después de la muerte, ya no hay nada que pueda hacer nadie en favor de los demás. - Heb9:27; 2 Tes1:7-9 • !Las cosas ahora se cambian! Tuvo su oportunidad, vivió en placeres por un poco de tiempo – Lázaro vivirá en gozo por la eternidad

  12. Intercesión a favor de sus 5 hnos. • - porque tengo cinco hermanos, para que les testifique, a fin de que no vengan ellos también a este lugar de tormento16:27-31 • Abraham le dijo: Si no oyen a Moisés y a los profetas, tampoco se persuadirán aunque alguno se levantare de los muertos.

Rich Man Lazarus Lessons From The Text • Wealth & poverty are not accurate indicators of ones standing before God - Mark 10:23; Luke 12:21; James 2:5 • Money is amoral – righteousness is what matters!! - 2 Tim 6:17-19 • Our standing before God, NOT MEN, is the ONLY standing that really matters! - 16:15; Mat 23:27

  15. Rich Man Lazarus Lessons From The Text Death is the common end for all classes of mankind - ("the same event happens to them all" - cf. Ecc 2:14) Will not take ANY material thing with us from this world - It is foolish to seek riches of this world and not lay up treasure in heaven - (Luke 12:20) Unconverted men find out the value of their soul after death, when it is too late - (Mt 16:26)
