  1. Arab Spring By: Mohammed Hamouda School: Qatar Academy Date: 13/5/2012

  2. Central IdeaPeople have the right to live in peace and harmony. People live in peace and harmony People who don’t live in peace and harmony

  3. What is the Arab Spring? The Arab Spring is the revolution that is happening now in the Middle East.

  4. Where did the revolutions and protests take place? • Egypt • Tunisia • Libya • Syria • Yemen

  5. Mohammed bu Azizi The Arab spring started by someone called Mohammed bu Azizi. Mohammed bu Azizi was a teenager who finished college and went to find a job. But the government did not provide him with a suitable job. So he got a cartoon box,put in it some fruit and went to the street to sell them.

  6. But eventually the police caught him and stopped him.So he lit himself on fire.He was sent to a hospital and he died there. people who knew the story felt disappointed and depressed so they told the story  to other people and then lots of people started to protest in tunisia.

  7. Khalid Saeed Some teenagers made a Facebook page about a young adult called Khalid Saeed. He was killed by the police inside the police station. So these people who created the Facebook page gathered each others and went down to the street to protest against the government for lack of human rights. Then other citizens joined them to protest and they were directed to go to tahreer square.

  8. Egypt revolution After Tunisia started to protest the Egyptians choose to start protesting. There was 2,000,000 protesters in Tahreer Square . The people protested because they did not get there rights .For example the food was high , there was no gas, dirty water, expensive clothe, etc.

  9. During the revolution there was thugs who killed people and lit fires in houses and stole things. They did that because there was no police. Now after the president stepped down and went to jail elections started for the new president but there was still protests in tahreer square because there was lack of rights.

  10. In tahreer square(a place in Egypt) there was lots of thugs who killed people and stole from them lit fire in buildings. The police in Tunisia , Egypt, Libya, and Syria killed people who did not do anything for them, who only protested for their rights. What does the Arab spring look like?

  11. Hoe many kills were there In Egypt there was 2,000,000 protesters and 700 from them were killed. In Syria parts of the army was sent to kill the protesters. There was about 4,100 kills. In Libya there was a civil war between the president's army and the citizen. In the end the president Al-Gaddafi was killed. There was about 25,000 deaths.

  12. what did people change during and after the revolution People protested around the world for change. They wanted their rights back.In Egypt people protested because there was no respect to human rights, food price was high,no sewage water draining system,no drinking water or shelter, and no peace,no proper health care.

  13. But after the revolution the food price got lower,People started to build houses for other poor people, lots of chanses for jobs, etc. The revolution that happend in Libya,Syria,Egypt, and Tunisia did a lot of change. for example these 4 countries their president ran away, killed, went to jail, or listened to his citizens and stepped aside. But still there is hunger, lack of rights around the Arab world.

  14. Author perspective I believe that the people should have full rights to protest. Please if you read this book go and donate money to country's who has revolution. I think the Egyptian constitution.
