  2. How Naviance is Utilized • Naviance is used by all high school students at ABS. • Naviance is a tool to help students start thinking about their interests and explore future careers. • It is a portal that allows Grade 12 students to apply for US universities online and lets the school send official documents (transcripts, recommendations, etc) to these universities electronically. Naviance for Juniors • All juniors take a Careers class in which Naviance is utilized to help them explore and examine potential careers and start identifying prospective universities. • Juniors may opt to retake their Career Interest Profiler or “Do What You Are” Personality Assessment if they feel their interests, goals, etc. have changed. • They then explore the Career Clusters using Cluster Finder and select at least two favorite clusters (with sub-categories). • Juniors in the Careers class select one career to focus on for the duration of the class. • The following pages have the Naviance assignment used to prepare students in the Careers class for their first presentation. Careers Presentation Preparation • You will be presenting a PowerPoint presentation with information about the Career you’ve decided to focus on for this course. • To help you prepare for this, you must explore the Career Cluster relating to your Career. • You must also add this Career Cluster to your “Favorites” in Naviance today.

  5. Grade 11 Naviance • The username is the student’s ABS ID number and the default password is “abs123”. • Students login to Naviance by going to: http://connection.naviance.com/abs

  6. Choose the Career that you intend to pursue

  7. Now read through and explore each tab relating to your Career. Then add this Career to your favorites.
