  2. Panda Bears Class Poem Paws pointed inward Always walking slowly! Nocturnal cat eyes glow as the large bear cat roams in the dark. Daytime dozer! A misty mountain dweller. Bamboo eaters. Endangered At risk to be gone! Rare, not many out there. Shy…hiding in the shadows, but silly when they secretly, slide down in the snow.

  3. Frogs • By Marty Tharpe Fantastic amphibians Roams the lily pads Out of this world jumpers Gazing at flies Swimming in lakes for fun.

  4. Dolphins By Iris Zuniga Diving deep underwater Ocean and river dwellers Locate objects underwater Playful mammals blow bubbles; catch and play with seaweed. Have fins with five fingers for diving and swimming. It comes back up for air. Newborn calves drink quick squirts of their mother’s milk.

  5. Sea Turtles By Jason Callis Super swimmers! Eggs hatching in the sand Amazing animals Toothless turtles Underwater most of the time. Really fast swimmers They have claws to dig Emerging from their underground nest, tiny turtles pop out!

  6. Coyotes By Emma Holowiti Captures little creatures Ooowoo…goes the coyote as he howls all night. Yippy Yips! Outdoor animals Tiptoes through the night Everyday hunting food Sly!

  7. Crow By Logan Beane Calls to alert about danger or food. Cars help them crack nuts. Roads help them crack nuts too. Oak trees can’t break nuts, but they can help them sleep. Wow! They’re not color blind! They know when the light changes.

  8. Lions By Carson Hobson Large, mighty cat Is an enemy to many other animals. Open plains and grasslands of Africa and India are their habitats. Nocturnal, night hunters. Females search for food.

  9. Scorpions By Alfredo Sixtos Size of a cup. Crows might eat them. Owls are the enemies. Rain forest dwellers. Prey can be a snake too. Insects are its food. Only watch from afar. Nocturnal creatures.
