  2. Worry/Anxiety Distracts & "Chokes" - distracts from present responsibilities - turns finding answers into losing hope - damages our physical self - responsibilities/ relationships neglected

  3. How To Handle "WORRY" 1. vv. 22-24 - Think your way through it

  4. Rom. 12:2 “And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.”

  5. Anxiety and fear do not say things are out of control. They say my thoughts are.

  6. How To Handle "WORRY" 1. vv. 22-24 - Think your way through it 2. v. 24 - Value self properly

  7. Rom. 12:3 “For through the grace given to me I say to every man among you not to think more highly of himself than he ought to think; but to think so as to have sound judgment, as God has allotted to each a measure of faith.”

  8. How Should I Consider Myself? • God knows each of His creations • God especially listens to His children

  9. 1 Pet. 3:12 “For the eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous, and his ears attend to their prayer, but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.”

  10. Heb. 13:5-6 “He Himself has said, ‘I will never desert you, nor will I ever forsake you,’ so that we confidently say, ‘The Lord is my helper, I will not be afraid. What shall man do to me?”

  11. How Should I Consider Myself? • God knows each of His creations • God especially listens to His children • He will not desert or forsake us

  12. How To Handle "WORRY" 1. vv. 22-24 - Think your way thru it 2. v. 24 - Value self properly 3. vv. 25-26 - Consider what you accomplish

  13. Matt. 25:25-26 “And I was afraid, and went away and hid your talent in the ground; see, you have what is yours. But his master answered and said to him, ‘You wicked, lazy slave, you knew that I reap where I did not sow, and gather where I scattered no seed.’”

  15. Trust in the Lord... ...not in man to direct his own steps ...the right way to man ends in death ...not your own understanding

  16. When It Comes To Worry... • don’t minimize • don’t hope it goes away • don’t “only” talk • don’t cover-up
