  3. Campus and location • WESC’s beautiful purpose built £30+ million campus, set within an existing 110 acre coffee plantation, is close to the town of Madikeri in the Coorg District of Karnataka Province, southern India.

Vision • It is the vision of Mr Pradip Burman and the Mobius Foundation that WESC aspires to be a world leading environmental school: a community committed to developing individuals who seize and act ethically upon the environmental issues facing our planet to create a sustainable tomorrow. The Principal will provide vision and leadership in the development of its distinctive character and direction for the school in the areas of: the Green agenda; curriculum innovation, delivery and academic achievement; developing an holistic education through curriculum enrichment; nurturing emotional well-being; engagement with the local and wider community; promotion of school spirit, amongst other things. The Principal will ensure the delivery of a curriculum which addresses the current and emerging needs of the school’s community by continually reviewing the composition and content of the school’s educational offering and services.

  6. WesC – Our Partner School WESc is delighted to have Whitgift as its partner school. The Whitgift Foundation was established in 1596, a legacy to the people of Croydon from John Whitgift, through its mission of care for the elderly and education for the young and which lies at the heart of its charitable activity today.Today, Whitgift is one of three schools within the Foundation, a boys-only 11-18 school with over 1500 boys on roll. It is ranked as one of the UK’s leading independent schools. Its academic standards are exceptional: in 2018, its IB Diploma average score was 38 points; at A level, 84% of all grades were A*-B; at GCSE, 95% of all grades were A* – B with 22% of all grades being Grade 9. Whitgift’s students participate widely in various Olympiad competitions and attain wide-ranging STEM qualifications.The school has over 80 societies, nearly 50 different sports and has an outstanding national reputation for its sporting achievement, holding many national titles.
