Updated PGD for Levonorgestrel 1.5mg Tablet • PGD Expired on 30th September • New version issued from 1st October 2014 • Make sure you update: sign, return, keep a copy • Updates include: • Expiry date: September 2016 • Terminology – Sexual Health Sheffield, Sheffield City Council • Updated re new evidence to support use of other EHCs • New onward referral arrangements • Pathway • Decision Tree • Revised accreditation requirements

New Onward Referral To - Sexual Health Sheffield • Central Health Clinic • Hallamshire Hub • Health Advisors Form included at the back of the PGD – can be given to the patient with “star card "for • Emergency contraception (outside of PGD) • STI check/symptoms • Vulnerable at risk / history of sexual assault • LARC / other contraception

  5. Decision Tree Updates the treatment choices in line with the latest evidence and common approach across Sheffield

Incorporating Ulipristal Acetate 30mg (EllaOne) New PGD in development to enable pharmacists to supply Expected early 2015 – briefing sessions to be held Uses: • Between 72 – 120 hours since UPSI • Or less than 72hrs since UPSI • 3 days before or 2 days after expected ovulation date (days 10-15 of 28 day cycle) or unsure of LMP • BMI >30kg/m2 or Weight >80kg

Accreditation Requirements • Already accredited? • Valid PGD signature authorisation • Every three years complete the CPPE Self declaration of competence • No annual training event or competency questionnaire • New to the area, newly qualified or new provider? • Valid PGD signature authorisation • CPPE Self declaration of competence – review learning programmes , self assessment and sign declaration certificate • Repeat every three years

  9. Future Developments • Expected in early 2015 • Move to PharmOuctomes for recording and reporting • New PGD to enable supply of Ulipristal Acetate 30mg (EllaOne)
