  2. Rotex Purpose: • Prolong exchange spirit among former exchange students • Organize events for current Inbounds • Support RYEP Funding: • Annual Rotary Contribution • Membership fee (20 CHF) • Pins & T-shirts • Donation

  3. Structure Returns: ~110 each year Inbounds ~110 each year Advantage: • The organization stays young! • The active members are around the age of the current exchange students. School Aged 17-25 Rotex active ~80 members From age 25 Rotex passive ~90 members Return Exchange Year

  5. Godfather-program Structure: • Each Inbound is assigned to a Rotex from his school or region • Meet regularly • Voluntary basis Aim: • Serves as support especially at the beginning

  6. Weekends for Inbounds (with Rotex & Returns) Structure: • Organized independently • No Rotarians present • Free of charge for Inbounds & Rotex Programe: • Simple accomodation • Rotex kitchen & deserts • Cultural /physical activities

  7. Weekends for Inbounds (with Rotex & Returns) Fall-Weekend • Experience Swiss nature and culture • Charity run Summer-Day • Cultural trip • Current activities Winter-Weekend • Experience together a snow adventure • Learn about Swiss culture

  8. Events for Inbounds in cooperation with Rotary YEP Matterhorn-Weekend • Rotex runs the weekend organized by local Rotary Clubs Europatour • Usally 1-2 Rotex Chaperones along with a Rotarian

Information-events in cooperation with Rotary YEP Inbound-Meeting • Running of workshops & share our experience, give advice • Presentation of Rotex Outbound-Meeting • Running of workshops & share our experience, give advice • Presentation of Rotex Return-Weekend • Presentation of Rotex • Debriefing • Share experience

  10. Summary • Independently run from Rotary • All former exchange students Advantages: • Same age as exchange students • Better understanding of desires of Inbounds • Inbounds feel free to express themselves & behave the way they are
