  3. Darwin • Kept many journals on different species on the galphogos islands • Was not positive about his theroys • Made first speculations from an ape in the zoo and noted its child-like behavior

Theory of Evolution • In biology, evolution is the change in the inherited traits of a population from generation to generation • Evolution occurs when these heritable differences become more common or rare in a population, either non-randomly through natural selection or randomly through genetic drift

  5. Other facts on evolution • Evolution influences every aspect of the form and behavior of organisms • Interactions between organisms can produce both conflict and co-operation • Not all interactions between species end in conflict • Extinction is a large part of evolution
