  2. Target Audience • The target audience will consist of 20 5th graders.

  4. Information Literacy Standard • The student who is information literate: · Accesses information efficiently & effectively · Evaluates information critically & competently · Uses information accurately & creatively

Content Area StandardsFranklin Northeast Supervisory Union: Technology Power Standards & Indicators · Power Standard #2: Social, Ethical and Human Issues *Students practice responsible use of technology systems and information. *Students develop positive attitudes toward technology uses that support lifelong learning, collaboration, personal pursuits, and productivity. Power Standard #3: Productivity Tools *Students use technology tools to enhance learning, increase productivity, and promote creativity.

What Students will KNOW and be able TO DO: • Students will know how to effectively use a pathfinder. • Students will know how to safely and effectively surf the Internet after using the “Surfing The Net” pathfinder. • Students will be able to research in which state they would choose to live. • Students will be able to create their own Bubblr.

  7. Collaborative Roles Librarian Roles: Introduce pathfinder to students. Help students with research Model to students how to create a Bubblr. 5th Grade Classroom Teacher Roles: Help students with research. Help students create Bubblrs.
