The Rise of Hitler and the Invasion of Poland: Triggering World War II

In the 1930s, Germany, led by Adolf Hitler, became a central figure in the events leading to World War II. Appointed Chancellor on January 30, 1933, Hitler swiftly eliminated political rivals, consolidating power. Scarred by the aftermath of World War I and the Great Depression, Germany sought to reclaim its status by invading neighboring countries. This aggressive expansion began with Poland on September 1, 1939, marking the official start of the war in Europe. The subsequent declarations of war by France and the UK on September 3 added to the global conflict.
