The courses emphasize the study of applied mathematics and its underlying process. This involves the random employment of mathematical tools which are useful in data analysis.

  4. The main objective of this curriculum is to allow students to prepare for their professional careers in fields that use statistical and mathematical sciences. The courses are meant for those candidates who have already gained a strong background in mathematics.

  5. Today, there is a growing demand for professionals who are well trained in the analysis of data and applied mathematical modeling. Internship programs are also offered in statistical and mathematical consulting. This helps in training the students for exciting careers.

  6. Courses include numerical mathematics, applied mathematics, probability and mathematical statistics. Electives could be computational science, stochastic processes, time series, regression analysis, linear programming, sparse sampling and cloud computing. Other electives could be computer science, biostatistics, public policy surveys, computational neuroscience, and econometrics. With these diverse core courses and electives, students will gain practical skills in national priority areas.

  7. This degree is popular because it enables students to be ready for bright career prospects in the fields of statistics and applied mathematics. They can seek careers in rewarding fields like Operations Management, Data Services, Scientific Programming, Quantitative Analysis, Labour Supply, Business Development and Strategic Management. • NEXT INTAKE: 19 January 2018
