Requirements from Policy makers • Ministry of ICT Master plan • ICT human resource development • Target: to increase Thailand ICT competitiveness • Strategy: ICT human resources capacity building • Indicators: ICT indicators conform to international standard and Telecommunication–related HR (number and skills) (2005) • National ICT Master plan • Laid out administrative, monitoring, and assessment mechanisms, setting targets and achievement indicators for the overall plan, as well as for each strategy. • IT2010 Policy Framework • ICT Master Plan 2002-2006

Thailand ICT Indicators 2003 • Published in 2003 by NECTEC • Result from a project to develop national ICT indicators aiming to collect statistics and data necessary for analysis of the nation’s ICT situation. • ICT HR Indicators: • Enrollment rates 1999-2002 • 5 education level: Pre-primary, Primary, Lower-secondary, General upper secondary, and Vocational upper secondary • Source: Office of the National Education Commission, Ministry of education • Number of IT personal by job classification 2001 • Estimated demand for IT manpower 2001-2006 • Estimated demand for IT manpower in 2006 by job classification • Source: the study done by NECTEC and Thammasat University 2001
