  1. EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT BLADE EYE SURGERY The Lasik Eye Surgery may be conducted in two ways; either traditionally or in the bladeless way. Although both are conducted based on the same principles, yet blade eye surgery varies from the bladeless one depending upon the way in which the corneal flap is created. Blade or no blade? The blade Lasik surgery uses a blade to create the corneal flap and adjust the retina. Following this a laser is used to vaporize a part of the corneal tissue as per the patient’s requirements. The flap is then folded back and heals over time. The bladeless surgery on the other hand uses a laser that breaks the corneal tissue. This procedure is carried out as per the given prescriptions. This procedure is being more preferred these days by the eye surgeons. In both the procedures extreme precaution is followed. The safety of the patient is given utmost importance. The procedure of Blade Lasik surgery Microkeratome is a surgical instrument used in blade Lasik surgery. This instrument creates a flap very quickly. However, the risks in blade eye surgery involve minor distortions and buttonhole flaps that can occur due to the use of a blade. How safe is it? Blade eye surgery is more preferred and widely practiced. Highly skilled eye surgeons perform the surgery and all the safety precautions are followed very closely. This type may take time to heal and requires extra care on the part of the patient. Ideal Candidates for blade Lasik surgery The traditional way is preferred mostly by eye surgeons. But it is not for everyone. Most of the minor retinal corrections can be performed by blade eye surgery. To know whether which surgery is fit for you, kindly visit an eye care facility.
