Descriptive Essay About My Best Friend About Me! By: Jonna S. My Best friend My best friend is amazing! Ever since the first day of school she's been there. Basically what happened was on the first day I was at silver hills and had no idea who anyone was so i just sat at a table and she was like, "Hi I'm Daphnie what's your name?," of course i said Jonna cause that's my name. Eventually we ran into each other at lunch so we sat down and talked for awhile to each other and then we walked to my next class and I was like wow you wanna be friends. She said of course cause i mean come on i'm amazing! Honestly we had a lot of good memories together from the 6th grade and i'm very excited to create brand new ones with her. She is amazing and I see perfection in her even though she disagrees i don't care she is perfect in my eyes and i will always be there for her I don't care what happens between us and i just wanna say thank you and i love you best friend! My Runaway! Hot air, windy breeze, beating sun, blooming season and a nice boring day! The exotic yellow bus speeding through the overpowering wind and it took a nice sharp stop. We got off the bus and that's when our adventurous day started. But really, what we thought was a fun day, others thought we were crazy and scared for us! For example, both of our entire households. This is how it all started. It was a very casual afternoon throughout school. Nothing different from any other day, until we got on the bus. Mackenzie particularly wanted to talk about ...Get more content on HelpWriting.Net...
Descriptive Experience Essay Filled with excitement and joy I began to fill my suitcase, overloading with clothing that I most likely will not wear. A I finish my exaggerated packing I heard a thumping sound of knocks at the front door. I hurriedly squish everything and make my way to the door only to be greeted by Ely's joyful expression. Once we manage to pack our things in the trunk we head off to the airport. Once at the airport were greeted with our growling tummies ready to devour. We have fifteen minutes before our flight leaves, we quickly rush and get in line to the subway station. When ordering I could see all the available sets of nutritional vegetables. The scent of sweet coffee filled my nostrils from the Starbucks station next to the subway. Once are meals our set we quickly stuff our hungry faces and hear a loud announcement that our flight was to depart in 10 minutes. When seated I tried to manage my tangles hair and off we were to our vacation in Honduras. Once, we reached the end of our flight we were met with the difficulty of finding our bags, once we did we excitedly made our way to the exit. As soon as we stepped outside the scent of good cooked meted melted in our minds. Immediately our attention zoomed into the busy streets overcrowding with people. It was midday around one in the afternoon, the weather was gracious, solemn breeze swept my hair back. First thing we do is head off to the nearest restaurant in our reach. Lavishing the cultural dishes my ...Get more content on HelpWriting.Net...
Descriptive Essay About My First Job My First Job. Or should I say the first instance where I earned a large sum of money for working. It was not that hard only moving a little bit of mulch. But it meant a lot in a different way. I was becoming an adult working hard in return for a few scraps of paper. The paper that makes the world go round. I was earning it through some tough, but short labor. The Work was let's just say cumbersome. It was a warm day in March the sun was blistering hot, heating anything under it like an oven. While a bitter cold breeze blew all the heat away. Except in my case, wearing storm, including wind resistant pants and a shirt that trapped that heat right in. Let's just say I was sweating in a few minutes. I hate my thick Wisconsin blood. The heat would have not been that bad if my face and hands weren't rosy from the chill. The job was tough but I was growing up. I quickly grew calluses on my hands and had dirt in my pores. There were scratches on my arms and pine needles down my neck. I was starting to look like a man. I was starting to become like my dad. Hands callused and skin tough and thick like leather. The palms rough with wear. I was only beginning. Hands soft, muscles strong, but not hardened, built for work. This was only the beginning. Ever hour or so another muscle group would get sore. Before long everything hurt. But I knew it would all be worth it in the end. Every adult worked and I could too, the money was worth it. Soon that was all that filled my mind the ...Get more content on HelpWriting.Net...
Descriptive Essay Example Descriptive Essay Final The downtown metropolis can be a complex place, and some may need to become accustomed to it. It is Five O' Clock in the afternoon. The sun is starting to drag itself lower, dimming the landscape, leaving a majestic orange on the horizon. The towering structures above leave enormous shadows on the people below. Car horns ring and sirens pulse, as the people make haste towards there destinations, rushing aggressively as if though it is a race. The end of the work day has just began. The craze is unique from anywhere else. An endless flow of people and vehicles seem to liter the area. A man can be seen making his way towards a small parking lot. The parking lot has not been taken care of for some time. Potholes...show more content... Lush, green trees are everywhere. Every house and small business seems to have one or two of them. The car makes it's way down a small street, with old fashioned houses. The car comes to a halt in front of a beautiful tan house. The house feels cozy. The tan painted planks of wood stack up until they reach the charcoal shingles of the rooftop. Two enormous windows are on the front of the house, with fine, white curtains that can be seen hanging from them on the other side. On the left side of a house there is a large chimney, which gives the house a traditional look with it's brown and red bricks. In the front yard of the house there is a smooth, clean concrete walkway to the front door, surrounded by many bushes, and flowers; trimmed perfectly. This house is well kept, and it stands out as a beauty in the neighborhood. The man walks up his paved walkway, and into the house through a large white door, with four small windows on it, and a cross like pattern beneath them. The doors gives of the look as if it is an entryway to heaven. The house is peaceful. Only the birds chirping in the trees can be heard. And as the man enters his house excited children raise there voices, "Daddy Daddy!". This family man is ...Get more content on HelpWriting.Net...
Descriptive Essay About Happiness The wind is ripping at our hair, both of us are panting to get some air into our lungs and throughout our bodies. The strain is almost too much to bear, but we finally make it. We reached the top of the hill and I won against my friend in our bike race through the city. Feeling like I might suffocate and fall off my bike may not seem like something that can make me happy, but if it's with my best friend, anything can make me happy. Happiness to me is being able to have fun and enjoy small and big moments with the people you love. It should come easily without having to put much effort into achieving it. Happiness should not be something I must chase, but it should float onto my lap while I'm sitting with my feet kicked up. The greatest example of being filled with happiness would be the day I rode through the cities with my most beloved friend. This happiness filled drive through the cities started in the car. On a warm June morning, Sabrina picked me up from my house and we set off on the road. I made a special playlist to dance and sing our lungs out the full hour and a half drive up to the twin cities. We had not seen each other for quite some time so this drive was especially important to catch up on our lives and some juicy gossip. This is one of my favorite things to do with Sabrina because even when all we do is sit and do nothing, I find that I enjoy myself to the fullest extent. Sitting there listening to my friend talk about how annoying a classmate is, or how she tried a new food just puts a smile on my face. Singing until we're out of breath and taking the time to listen to all the events in our lives is one of the things I loved to do and I valued all the things we shared with one another. We then began to transition our car ride into a bike ride. Before arriving at Fort Snelling to start biking, we decided to stop by Caribou Coffee for a quick snack. We drove right past Caribou Coffee for two to three miles before we realized the GPS was screaming at us to make a U–turn. Eventually, Sabrina and I got our coffees and sat down to talk about where we'd like to bike. We decided upon following the trails by Fort Snelling to Minnehaha Falls. After downing our drinks, and driving to Fort Snelling, the ...Get more content on HelpWriting.Net...
Descriptive Essay On My Neighborhood My neighborhood is unlike any other neighborhood in the San Fernando Valley. I truly feel like I am at home and connected with the people in my community. Being in a different neighborhood when visiting my friend's home or a family member's, causes a disconnect within myself. I do not feel the same friendly atmosphere, outside my home I see houses on the same street, but no community. I comprehensibly feel displaced because it is it not an area I value. The surroundings of a different neighborhood is not significant to me. Despite my unfamiliarity, my observations I notice the difference between my community and my friends or family member's. Courage has been beneficial because, I am not shy or afraid to meet new people and socialize. I gained confidence within myself because I do not feel awkward in social situations. Furthermore, my neighborhood has shaped me into a charismatic person; it is helpful when encountering social relationships outside of my surroundings. Aside from the personal lessons, I have been influenced to be festive. During most celebrated holiday such as: Fourth of July, Halloween, and Christmas, my neighborhood embraces their excitement with beautiful decorations. According to the article Social Cohesiveness, Territoriality, and Holiday Decorations by Barbara Brown and Carol Werner, observations on holiday decorations were done on a whole block during Halloween and Christmas; the analyses indicated that attitudes and behaviors combined to reflect degrees of neighborhood attachment, and neighborhood ties were stronger. In a sense, it makes me believe my neighbors unite to beautify our neighborhood streets while sharing common traditions, such as a Christmas tree or the birth of Jesus arrangement. Holidays are my favorite time of the year, because I love to see the streets of my home filled with jolly spirit. Around Christmas, I drive block by block to admire the lovely decorations. The sound of celebration and the smell of festive meals fill the atmosphere. Supermarkets are crowed than ever, parking lots, and traffic is so congested, but I feel satisfied seeing my neighborhood ...Get more content on HelpWriting.Net...
Campus Descriptive Essay West Virginia University has hands down the most gorgeous campus I have ever seen. Every morning I would wake up knowing that I have the privilege of attending a good school with a breathtakingly beautiful campus. I was gradually awoken by the warm rays of sunlight filtering into my room like a gentle wake up call. I got up to look out the window and I saw my fellow classmates walking to class and going about their days. Stretching and yawning I prepare myself for the day. I cannot help but to think that today is going to be a good day. As I stepped outside for the first time I felt the cool breeze gently blowing between the buildings, giving everyone it touches a breath of fresh air. Strolling through campus, I stopped for a minute to admire how the sun was shining down on like a spotlight on all the beautiful blue and gold flowers. The landscapers worked hard planting the flowers of the most royal of blues and the perfect shade of golden yellow. Walking further down the hill I saw the familiar "flying dub v" on every passing persons clothing. Most of my classmates were in a rush to get to class, but I took my time just absorbing my surroundings. A strong breeze carried the scent of freshly cut grass to my nose and embraced me as I continued my journey to class. Passing several students on my way, nodding my head in acknowledgement, a few familiar faces make eye contact and smile. The weather that day was perfect, not too hot, but ...Get more content on HelpWriting.Net...

Descriptive Essay About A Festival My excitement was almost palpable as I drove past Lake Okeechobee, watching sunlight bounce reflectively off the massive body of water. My 6 best friends and I were moments away from entering into the majestic festival land. Entering the festival grounds, we where bursting with excitement and energy, partly because we were sitting still in a cramped car for 2 hours. The car was moving only several inches per minute, but as the car took covered more territory, so did my eagerness. There were only a couple of feet distancing our car from the next; everyone else was as enthusiastic as I. I saw smiles and excitement and heard electronic music in the background, all while sitting and waiting in a vehicle. It can to my realization that this was the first time I was surrounded by a whole spectrum of unique people. Some attendees looked like they had just stepped out of a Madonna music video, with neon colored clothes and asymmetrical patters; others wore shorts and a tank top. However, there were two similarities among us: we came to dance to each beat of the music and we all suffered from the humid, swampy, hot weather. Although my friends and I wanted to park the car and head straight to the festival, we had some housekeeping to do. Three tents and a camp area later, we were ready to start dancing to the electronic music and enjoying our three day festival weekend. The summer heat was unbearable, as the humidity engulfed the air and the sunrays kept reluctantly burning our ...Get more content on HelpWriting.Net...
Descriptive Essay About Memories Our lives are filled with many favorable memories, but only the best ones are formed when we gain something from them. A great memory that I have is when I went to my first concert in Richmond with my friend, Ciana, in March of 2017. This concert is one of my best memories because it taught me how fun life can be, no matter how wild it may become. My friend and I aren't wild people, but we do like to randomly plan crazy things. Ciana randomly messaged me one month before and asked if I wanted to go see this band in March. With a why not attitude, I agreed to go. I wasn't dying to see the band live, but I did enjoy their music. There was three other bands playing at that concert, but I wasn't familiar with any of them. Becoming familiar...show more content... It was a quick interaction, so we still had plenty of time left. We figured we would go ahead and wait in the medium sized crowd. The only part of the room that was well lit, was the stage. As we patiently waited, the variety of bright colors danced across the stage. Slowly, more people came in and filled the crowd area in the room. The stage and band equipment was set up by these men who paced across the stage. As we waited for what seemed like eternity, time slowly stretched like finely rolled out dough. Finally, the lights went out, and the first band came on stage. The entire crowd screamed as loud as they can. The lights came back on and the first band comes out. As we are enjoying the music we're listening to, the singer asks the crowd to make a moshpit. Instantly, everybody is pushing to the perimeters of the crowd area in order to make a clear space. Forming right next to where my friend and I are standing, the mosh pit errupted. It was very rough to stand on the outer edge of the moshpit, but thankfully, this tall guy was our savior as he blocked us from the tornado of bodies within the moshpit. Slowly, we pushed ourselves away from the moshpit and towards the stage. At this point, my arm had already formed a bruise from the ...Get more content on HelpWriting.Net...

Descriptive Essay On A Morning Mornings just great. Us early birds have the gift of watching the world around us come back to life after being so tired. We all know most people don't like mornings simply because it interrupts sleep. Yeah, something you can do when you're dead. I turned to the window delighted to see a bright gray sky; just one giant cloud covering that asshole of a sun so it can't burn my skin and give me cancer. Sure, your idea of a beautiful day might include blue skies and fairies, but I never asked you. Today was.... Friday. Nothing special going on, so I'd have the regular classes. I threw on a black t–shirt and skinny jeans that were slung over my crappy desk chair and ran my fingers through my hair to work out any rats while making my way through a dim hallway to the kitchen. My house is just one big dim hallway with rooms. "Hey." My mom was already at work in the kitchen as always. She had the same dazed expression on her face as she did every morning as she did her tedious mom–chores. Every day she had to wash dishes, do laundry, cook food, pick up stuff around the house, etc. She set down a plate with a small cinnamon roll drenched in white icing out on the table:"Here, eat this before you leave." "Nah." "You need to eat something for breakfast, it's not good to skip meals." She nagged. "Says who?" "Says me. I read somewhere about it; they did quite a few studies on it." "Hn, Bye." The screen door slammed shut before my mother could finish her pointless lecture. I wasn't going to be late for school because of a cinnamon roll. Most kids get their parents to drive them nowadays, but walking is a perfect opportunity for some alone–time. People can just come find and interrupt my reveries even in my own home, but when I walk, I'm traveling, and no one's going to try and catch up to me. Just thoughts, music, and burly trees looming over cracked sidewalks. For the most part, it's a peaceful yet uneventful journey. Other than dogs occasionally carrying on or people leaving early for work, there are almost no interruptions. Chg–chg–chg–chg. I grinned at the sound of a train beginning to rumble across rickety, old railroad tracks. Somehow, I couldn't help but smile during moments like these. Soon the train ...Get more content on HelpWriting.Net...
Descriptive Essay On A Trip The art studies–at–large trip has been a once in a lifetime trip. From a twenty–four hour plane trip with a stop in Chicago and time zone change, it has been an exhausting yet enjoyable time running around with my classmates in the airport. Being in a different country and experiencing a new culture first hand was astonishing and gave me a new outlook of the beauties in the world. From Montone, Florence, Venice, and Rome I had the ultimate trip in Italy. The food, language, and culture were different from what I was used to but it was worth the experience. I was not fond of drinking wine with every dinner though the wine was delicious. I had the best pastas, tiramisus, and coffees while I was in Italy. The art was beautiful; it was breathtaking to see how many free artworks was there for the public. After being in Italy for about a month I can see why people are attracted and want to live in Italy. Montone is a beautiful, peaceful, and friendly town. I enjoyed the walk to town, the covenant, Aries Café, the tavern restaurant, and the town's people. I had the best cappuccino and coffee at Aries and I loved every dish I ate at the tavern restaurant. The view from the covenant was beautiful and works perfectly for a painting. Getting around town was easy with everyone being so nice and helpful. The piazza was a great place to hang out because of friendly the environment was and it was the main spot in town where everyone stayed. Descriptive Essay About My Village Wherever I am, I find it hard to resist the tempting call of my hometown. My hometown is a small village located in Shandong province. There are about two thousand people in the village. Small as it is, it's a very beautiful place and has its own folk culture. The weather is warm in winter and cool in summer. It's a good place for tourism. The most attractions in the village are the river around my hometown and the green hills opposite the river. On the hills there are large tea plantations and fruit trees. The river, in which there are all kinds of big and smooth cobbles, flows gurgling in four seasons, with groups of fish and shrimps playing in the water. When spring was coming, the fields look like a green carpet, and the willows by the river are putting forth a lot of tender branches. With breeze blowing, the long thin branches gently brush the cool and refreshing water; there are groups of ducks having fun in the river. Spring is also a season of sowing. When the parents are working in the field, the child are playing all kinds of games near the river, such as swing, eagle catches chicken, seesaw and so on. Summer follows spring. The children sit on the large stones in the river, where they pat the water and make splashes. The sound of water, and the noise of the children's chatting and laughing are mixed together. The birds in the woods are unwilling to be lonely, singing and dancing with joy. The old people sat under the big trees talking about their life ...Get more content on HelpWriting.Net...

Descriptive Essay About My Journey My journey the day I left my home country in search of a better life was not as pleasurable or exciting as I expected. Although it was not a long flight, the accumulation of unexpected vicissitudes during the trip made my dream of traveling an absolute nightmare. Not only my sadness to be leaving my family behind, the uncertainty to fly alone and for the first time, or my inexperience with the procedures at the airport contributed to this calamity, but even my neighbor on the plane added his bit of sand in the affair. All this situation was such traumatic to me that I even considered never daring to fly again. The nightmare began long before I even set foot on the plane. Once the clutter of the corrupt employee quieted down, I went to check my luggage. Although the line was not so long, it took an eternity for me to receive assistance, since the only two clerks available at the time for that function had a lively talk and did not appear to be in any hurry to attend the line of impatient travelers. Finally, my turn came! The young woman took my documentation with such slow movements that her arms gave the impression of having five–pound weights attached to each hand, and then she asked me to put my luggage on a digital scale to my side. I did not have much in my suitcase, only clothes for a week, a couple of family photos, and a small, fluffy, pink bag with my makeup, body lotions, and my favorite perfume that smelled like the ocean in Hawaii impregnated with the exotic fragrance of the Plumerias. Since everything was in order with the weight, they tagged my luggage and put it on the baggage belt while my eyes followed it until it disappeared behind the curtains. Throughout the check–in process, I tried to show myself steady and calm; I did not want my relatives there to perceive the pain and sadness reflected in my face for leaving them behind. Descriptive Essay About Autumn Misty dew covers the entire surface of the field. The yellowing corn stalks stand erect and proud until my grandpas tractor comes to end their growth. Autumn slowly weaves its way in and leaves a stain of brilliant color in its wake. Not everyone enjoys such colors, but when you take a second to step outside your doorstep, and look at all the wonders that surround you, you'd be surprised at how marvelous the world can truly be. To me, Autumn is a time for relishing in the colors. Soaking in the oranges and reds while sitting by a warm fire. It's a time for remembering that everything does end, but it does not have to end in the dreadful way we think it will. Autumn is a time for the closeness of others to keep out the chill of the morning and the starry–eyed darkness of the night. The colors are astonishing. No longer does green dwell the trees. It seems the entire world is on fire. The bright yellow has mingled with the orange to create small flames, flickering from the branches of trees. They fall to the ground and ignite the earth. It has been said before that fire is pure and cleans everything it touches. It takes something broken and dead and gives it one last spurt of beauty. One last goodbye before it leaves forever. The bed of the fire is a deep blue, so searing it burns any who come near. The heat makes my eyes water and stings my uncovered face. I want to get as close as possible. To see the embers be swept with the glorious reds and royal blues. The heat is ...Get more content on HelpWriting.Net...

For example, in school when we work in group projects we collaborate and communicate with people who think differently than us then work together to figure out whose ideas will work the best and how to improve them. Another factor that plays a part in why I am shaped how I am is my family's economic circumstances. Descriptive Essay About A Library Every person has their place. The kind of place where the world could be ending but as long as their in that special place, they can leave the world in peace. For some it's their hometown, the gym, a certain cafe or restaurant, or even a random spot with a sentimental meaning. For me, this place is the Edmon Low Library here at Oklahoma State University. As a high school student, the library was a place to check out books and print papers for free. The idea of spending hours there was unheard of, and never spiked an interest in me. Once I started my freshman year in college, this speculation quickly changed. From the first time I toured Oklahoma State University, I wondered why the dazzling Georgian style library was so overwhelmingly huge. It was in the heart of osu near the main campus facilities: the Union, Theta Pond, and various classroom buildings. Being that the library was such a main attraction, I was curious to know why. I wondered why there was a cafe and why each level had a different noise limit. All of these things seemed great, but unnecessary at the same time. After all, the only thing the library was good for in my mind was basic needs for my english class. My first day at osu I decided to see what all the hype about this special library was. The more I explored the different levels, the more I found.
