20.6.14 • This weeks challenge is to make the numbers from 1 – 10 using only the digits 2, 6, 1 and 4. • Closing date for entries is 20.6.14 • EXT task to make the number 1-20 • or even 1-50
Instructions • You may use any mathematical symbol/operation (x, +, -, ÷, square root, decimal point, brackets, factorial (!), raising to a power (^) etc.) Tip: 0! = 1. • For each number you must use ALL of the digits, 2, 6, 1 and 4 once only. They can be used in any order. • You can combine digits to make larger numbers e.g. you can make 21 from the 2 and the 1, so 21 + 6 + 4 is fine to make 31. • NB if you raise to a power, this power must be one of the four digits. • Remember BIDMAS • 4! Is 4 x 3 x 2 x 1 = 24
