No F&A applies to Center Admin Expenditures IAB Approves Admin Budget and it is processed via internal award Center Admin Budget @ $10K (up to 16.5% of annual pool) Annual Dues Company A - $20K Company B - $20K Company C - $10K Company D - $10K Industrial Advisory Board (IAB) Annual Meeting NCSU Center Pool $60K 10 Proposals From External Institutions (Partners of the Center) IAB Selects 5 Projects out of 20 for funding – 3 internal and 2 external @ $10K each for a total of $50K 10 Proposals From NCSU PIs Reduced F&A rate of 9.5% is used on Internal Projects and External Subcontracts funded from the Pool.   3. 1 of the non selected proposals is especially interesting to Company A Company A wants to provide additional $10K to fund this project and share the results with Companies B, C and D This funding results in a Center Enhancement Project Proposal for Enhancement Project in PINS @ 9.5% F&A This project is awarded and is assigned with a stand alone account not mapping to the center pool account If there are any left over funds at the end of the enhancement project, they are deposited into the Center Pool account Q&A Session 9-7-2010 Larisa Slark
