Understanding the Water Cycle: Evaporation, Condensation, and Precipitation

Explore the fascinating water cycle, which consists of evaporation, condensation, and precipitation. Evaporation occurs when water turns into vapor, driven by the sun's heat. Condensation follows as water vapor cools and forms clouds. Finally, precipitation returns water to the Earth's surface as rain, snow, or hail. Use creative tools like clipart and auto shapes to visualize these processes and make learning about the water cycle engaging. Discover how the water cycle varies in winter and enhance your understanding with additional resources.

  1. The Water Cycle Created by:

  2. Evaporation happens when water changes to water vapor. The sun can cause this to happen. Draw arrows using your auto shapes to show how the sun causes evaporation to happen.

  3. Condensation is when the water vapor changes to drops of water and forms clouds. Insert pictures of clouds from clipart to show how water vapor can form clouds.

  4. Precipitation is when the drops of water fall back to the ground from the clouds. Rain, snow, and hail are kinds of precipitation. Insert clipart to show how examples of how water returns to the ground.

  5. Click on each word and drag it to label the water cycle. Add 5 more clipart pictures to this drawing to make your picture more interesting. Evaporation Precipitation Condensation

  6. Explain how the water cycle is different in winter. Click here to add your explanation.
