  9. Methods • Questionnaire study • Subjects: students applying for higher education • Population size: 33.547 • Sample: 2001: 8.906, 2002: 7.099, 2003: 8.596, 2004:8.946; • Total: 17.634 (52.5 %) / 27

Discussion • This study confirms the previous ones in demonstrating the insufficiency of sexual education of adolescents. • However, the level of education is increasing each year. • Regional differences in sexual knowledge should be attributed to the sociocultural differences in Turkey. / 27
