His Personal Life • He was born in 1917 September 7 in Atlantic City. • He started art when he was 13 years old. • In 1924 he moved to Harlem Because his mom didn’t want him. • He was married to Gwendolyn Knight • He went to school for art in Harlem at Utopia children's house. • In High school he attended art at the Harlem art work bench in the new York public library.

  3. His Work Life • He sent more then 200 pieces of art to the Seattle art museum.
