  2. Firefighter Door Operations • Assess structure and point of entrance • How far from apparatus • Obstructions • Working length needed for occupancy type • Select deployment method • “Accordion FWD / Accordion REV / V-Split”

  3. Firefighter Door Operations • Deploy line and call for water • Secure line while being charged • Assess “AVPP” • Air bled • Volume appropriate and sustained • Pattern set/known • Pressure appropriate AVPP Check on the door you’re about to access

Firefighter Door Operations • Assess feedback from AVPP/Door appearance • Steam • Door discoloration • Smoke seepage • Assess door for possible Forcible Entry • Locked • Construction • (metal / wood / solid / hollow /double or single) • Type and number of lock(s) • Swing • (inward or outward swing) • Irons Set appropriate or other tools needed
