  3. Diet The American alligator mainly eats fish, bird, turtles, various mammals and other reptile

  4. Habitat The American alligator live in ponds, wetlands, rivers and swamps

  5. Threats Alligators today are threatened for habitat loss and encounters with people. Their hunt for their skin for leather goods and their meat. In 1970 10 million alligators were killed for their skin

  6. Conclusion We can conserve them for future generations to appreciate them once again.
