  2. 220 Credits Completion of Algebra 1 Passing the California High School Exit Exam Graduation from High School Successful completion of all “A-G” requirements SAT or ACT test Graduation vs. “A-G” Eligibility Requirements

  3. 30 credits (3 years) No grade below D- 2 years Category “A” requirement SOCIAL SCIENCE No grade below C- Social Studies

  4. 40 credits (4 years) No grade below D- 4 years Category “B” requirement ENGLISH No grade below C- English

  5. 20 credits (2 years) Must complete Algebra 1 Must meet minimum grade to move on in sequence 3 years (4 recommended) Category “C” Requirement MATHEMATICS Must complete Algebra 2 No grade below C- Mathematics

  6. 20 credits (2 years) 10 credits in a “Life Science” 10 credits in a “Physical Science” No grade below D- 2 years (3 recommended) Category “D” Requirement LAB SCIENCE Must include: Biology AND Chemistry or Physics Science

  7. Is not a high school graduation requirement Would be considered a “General Elective” course Must have C-, or better to advance in sequence 2 years (3 recommended) Category “E” Requirement LANGUAGE OTHER THAN ENGLISH No grade below C- Foreign Language

  8. 10 credits Students may mix or match fine art courses No grade below D- 1 year Category “F” Requirement VISUAL OR PERFORMING ARTS Must be sequential No grade below C- Fine Arts

  9. 5 credits No grade below D- There is no practical arts requirement* *Students still have to take it for HS graduation! Practical Arts

  10. 20 credits PE class Athletic team Cheer Band/Flags Show Choir (after 9th) There is no physical education requirement* *Students still have to take it for HS graduation! Physical Education

  11. 2.5 credits (one course) May take this course: At Hart High School From an approved online provider At a community college During summer school (if available) There is no health requirement* *Students still have to take it for HS graduation! Health

  12. 72.5 credits Any course that a student takes above and beyond the requirement Any course that a student takes that is not a HS graduation requirement 1 year “G” Requirement COLLEGE PREP ELECTIVE No grade below C- General Electives
