Scott Bradley Hanover – A Dedicated Sportsperson Baseball is a bat and ball sport which is played between 2 teams of 9 players each. The goal is to score runs by hitting the ball with bat and touching a series of 4 bases at the corners of a 90 ft. diamond. The players take turns hitting against pitcher of fielding team that tries to stop them from scoring runs. The teams switch between fielding & batting whenever fielding team records 3 outs. One turn at bat for every team makes an inning and 9 innings makeup professional baseball game.

The mitt or glove is fielding tool made of padded leather & is used as an aid in holding & catching the ball. It can take different shapes to meet the needs of various fielding positions. The squad or roster sizes differ between various leagues and levels of play. Major League Baseball teams have 25-player active rosters, and a typical 25-man roster in league without the DH rule features 8 position players, 5 starting pitchers, 6 relief pitchers, one backup, 2 backup infielders, 2 backup outfielders and one specialist pinch hitter.
