Announcement: • You need something to write with, and something to write on. • Make up test need to be done ASAP Agenda • Class expectations • Vocabulary • Monday – Expectations/Restless earth vocabulary • Tuesday – Pretest, Mineral or non mineral? • Wednesday- Mineral or Non mineral activity prep. • Thursday – Mineral or Non mineral activity • Friday- L to J/Check for understanding

  2. Next Semester Information • Take your file folders with you! • You will need a spiral note book. • Bring to class everyday! • Get something to write with. Bring it to class everyday. • Pen or pencil • Bring one to me!

  3. Expectations • Be Respectful • There is a time and a place for everything. Pick the right time and place! • There is a time and a place for talking, be respectful of when that is. • Be respectful of others property and space. • Be respectful in the way you talk with adults and other classmates. • Be Responsible. • Be responsible for being to class on time. • Be responsible for your actions. (What you say and what you do!) • Be responsible for your messes. • Take responsibility for your learning. • Be peaceful!

  4. Champ’s/Assignment • Conversations- • Conversations should be at a 0 during direct instruction, 1 when working with your table. Help • Ask the teacher for help. • Ask the people around you at a level 1 voice. • Activity • Vocabulary assignment. • Movement • Stay in your seat. • If you do need to move, go directly from your spot to another and return without disrupting others. • Participation • Every person will be turning in vocabulary assessment. Vocabulary Assignment • You will be given a sheet with a list of words and their definitions. • You will match up the words and their definitions, put it in your own words, and draw a picture to represent the word.

  5. Exit ticket • What are the characteristics of a mineral? • Turn into the box as you leave.

Announcement: Agenda • Pretest • Mineral or non mineral • Close • Monday – Expectations/Restless earth vocabulary • Tuesday – Pretest, Mineral or non mineral? • Wednesday- Mineral or Non mineral activity prep. • Thursday – Mineral or Non mineral activity • Friday- L to J/Check for understanding
