  3. WHO WE FIGHT Eph6:10-11; Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. Eph6:12; For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.

  4. WHO WE FIGHT • The Angels that God created • Lucifer’s Rebellion • Isaiah 14:11-23 • Ezekiel 28:1-19 • Revelation 12:3-9 • The devil seeks exaltation above God and dominion over all creation

  5. WHO WE FIGHT • Mankind created to be good & upright • Genesis 3:1-24 – Satan’s deception • 1 John 5:19 – whole world lies under the sway of the wicked one • John 12:31 & 14:30 – Prince of this world

  6. WHO WE FIGHT • Do you reject the notion of a literal devil? • Overly Simplistic • Culturally Narrow Minded • If God is real… • If the Bible is true…

  7. WHAT WE FIGHT • Eph6:11; Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. • “Wiles” = strategies or methodologies • 2 Cor. 2:11 - ignorant of his devices • 1 Peter 5:8 – a roaring lion

  8. WHAT WE FIGHT • He comes as a liar (He’s the Accuser) • Rev. 12:10 – the accuser of the brethren • Devil = Diabolos = liar, slanderer • John 8:44 – the father of lies • The devil seeks to manipulate and control our minds through lies and slander

  9. WHAT WE FIGHT • He comes as a friend (He’s the Tempter) • Matthew 4:1-11 – temptation of Christ • Genesis 3:5 – temptation of Eve • The devil tempts us with things that look good, but always have hidden dangers

  10. WHAT WE FIGHT • He comes as an Angel of Light (He’s the deceiver) • 2 Cor. 11:14-15 • The devil tries to lure us into believing lies by wrapping them up in truth • 2 Thess. 2:3-10 • Acts 20:29-30 • John 10:10

  11. HOW WE FIGHT • Eph6:13; Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand • The “Gospel” is the armor of God!

HOW WE FIGHT • Col 2:13-15;And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses, having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it.
