Wear a mask, because vacuuming can kick up pollen (and mould and dust) trapped in your carpet. Clean the air filters in your home regularly. Clean bookshelves, vents, and other places where pollen can collect. Kristine Whorlow, CEO of the National Asthma Council Australia, says that spring cleaning can also help reduce exposure to allergen triggers.
