ACTIVITIES • Trip to Haiti: -Meeting with the President Dr C. Lauriston and visit at “Holy Spirit site at Santo (04/09/10). -Meeting with Dr Alex Larsen, Dr Claude Surene, Dr KarineDubuche. Discussions on Sickle Cell Anemia symposium in Haiti at the end of the year. Suggestion by Dr A. Larsen to open a National Rehab Center at Santo (04/10/10).
ACTIVITIES (CONT’) • Visit at HUEH. Brief meeting with Dr Lassegue and Mrs Marlene Thompson. • Visit at the Medicine Department and dialogue on Sickle Cell Anemia. • Participation at Haiti Diaspora Federation meetings at least once a week. • Survey sent to all Chapter Presidents: Only two returned from Boston and few suggestions by e-mail.
ACTIVITIES(CONT’) • Student Committee Member project sent to all Chapters: No feedbacks. • Haitian Flag celebration at the White House and award to Dr Sanjay Gupta on May 17, 2010. • Invitation at AMA Headquarters in D.C to participate at a conference on telemedicine in Haiti on June 15, 2010. • Currently working on a Rehab Center project at Santo 12 with Dr Emmanuel Francois.
