Rod played 12 Tests for Australia, including the 1999 World Cup Campaign.  He played 89 games for the Brumbies, his last being the Super 12 victory over the Sharks to win the 2001 title.  Since then Rod has played for Leicester in the UK winning the Heineken Cup and Zurich Premiership and spent 18 months as Head Coach and Director of Rugby at Saracens RFC. Rod was a founding member of the RUPA from its steering Committee days in 1995.  He has been a long time advocated of players taking a responsibility for their welfare and working conditions.  Currently Rod serves as President of the RUPA, the first non playing executive, a position he also held in 2000 and 2001.  Rod is also part of the Fox Sport Rugby commentary team.
